PUBLIC HEARING of the Town Council of the Town of Pomfret held Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 6:30 PM at the Town Building, 9 Day Street, Fredonia, New York.

ABSENT: Councilman William Hart
Supervisor Steger opened the Public Hearing for the purpose of public information of the proposed change in the Senior Citizen Tax Exemption amount. The proposed change to be adopted by the Town Board under Section 467 of the Real Property Tax Law, providing for a partial exemption from taxation to persons 65 years of age or older with an income level of $18,000.00 per year or less, commencing with the tax year 2010. The Town Clerk produced proof of publication and posting.
Mr. Steger read the original resolution. He asked if there were any audience questions or concerns.
Hearing no comments, Supervisor Steger moved that the Public Hearing be closed at Councilman Pennica seconded the motion. The motion was carried.
