The Fredonia Fire Department has enthusiastically put their support behind getting these signs in front of every rural residence in the Town.  The Fire Department is looking for 100% compliance with the signs.  Neil McNeight, president of the D.R.Barker Hose Company and chairman of the sign committee stated "It's so important to get those numbers up so that we can find it, whether it be police looking for an emergency, for a rescue call, for a fie, or just plain looking for the lost hunter to have a number where we can start from.  It's so important to get them up there." 

The Fire Department will be using money coming from the share the Department receives from the Fire Protection contract with the Town.  If someone already purchased a sign they can receive a reimbursement.

The Fredonia Volunteer Fireman say the sign must installed on the same side of the road as the house with the best placement near the driveway to allow Emergency Responders to find your address as quickly as possible.  The sign can be attached to an Observer post as shown or a new post can be installed for the sign. The sign can be configured for a vertical installation as show, or a horizontal installation.
